FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – American Airlines has started bargaining with gate workers who work for its regional carriers.
Gate workers from American Eagle, Envoy and Piedmont Airlines picketed at DFW Airport on Wednesday.
“We love the main line folks and we do the same job as them for one company,” said Shannon Kitchen, a gate worker in the picket line. “We all work together to make the record profits that American Airlines has, yet we get paid half of what they get paid.”
Some agents said they have a positive feeling after the first day of negotiations.
