ORLANDO (WBAP/KLIF News) Legal experts say Disney could face a massive lawsuit following the death of a young boy. Lane Graves was carried away by an alligator at a Florida resort earlier this month. Dallas attorney Rob Crain with Crain, Lewis and Brogdon says the boy’s parents likely already have an attorney, who is probably organizing this argument:
Crain says every hotel operator has a duty to its guests called an “invitee status” which means if the hotel knows or should know of a dangerous condition on its premises, then it has a duty to warn or make safe the dangerous condition.
The question that needs to be answered is whether the resort knew about alligators in the area and whether the warning signage it had posted was sufficient.
