DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas County District Attorney Susan Hawk is yet again seeking treatment for depression. This time Hawk is in Arizona at a facility specializing in mood disorders.
Dr. Harold Urschel with Dallas-based Enterhealth says this type of treatment can last six to eight weeks.
“When you’ve had somebody with mood disorders in the past and then the Neurochemistry in your brain and certain neurochemicals get out of balance, again sometimes it takes longer the second or third time to get them back in balance,” said Dr. Urschel.
Hawk had recently been at a facility in Houston for a second time before returning to Dallas last week.
There have been calls for Hawk to step down as District Attorney while she seeks treatment.
