Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – It turns out the Mesquite resident who killed five police officers Thursday night in Dallas, and wounded seven others, had been kicked out of the Army. 25 year Micah Johnson joined the Army Reserve when he graduated from high school in 2009. He spent a year in Afghanistan, but was forced out of the service last year. The military lawyer who represented him during his discharge hearing says Johnson was thrown out for sexually harassing a female soldier. Lawyer Bradford Glendening described that as “unusual,” saying the Army normally puts soldiers accused of sexual harassment through counseling.
