Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Police investigators reportedly believe the man who opened fire on police officers Thursday night was actually planning something much bigger, and only acted when he did to take advantage of an opportunity that unexpectedly presented itself. Dallas Police found a quantity of explosive material in Micah Johnson’s house, as well as rifles, ammunition, bullet proof vests, and combat tactics manuals. They reportedly believe all of that means Johnson was planning a much larger attack. They think he saw Thursday’s protest rally over the Minnesota and Louisiana police shootings as an unexpected opportunity to stage an attack, and acted without putting his entire plan into operation.
