Plano (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Dallas Police funeral detail fired a 21-gun salute to honor Officer Michael Krol, who was laid to rest today.
Krol was one of five police officers to be killed in the line of duty on July 7th, in the shooting attack that followed an anti-police brutality protest.
Krol had served with the DPD for nine years, and before that was with the Wayne Co. (Michigan) Sheriff’s Office.
Funeral services for DPD Senior Corporal Lorne Ahrens and DART Officer Brent Thompson were help on Wednesday, and DPD Sergeant Michael Smith was laid to rest yesterday. Services for Officer Patricio Zamarripa will be held tomorrow; he’ll be buried at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
