Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – The long planned, controversial $175 million redevelopment of Fort Worth’s historic Stockyards is about to begin. Barricades and security fencing will be going up this weekend. Demolition of several crumbling old buildings will start Monday. Heritage Development, developers of the project, will be holding an open house Sunday in the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame to explain how they intend to do the planned developing while still preserving the historic nature of the Stockyards.
