FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – A man whose father shot a Fort Worth Police Officer was indicted Tuesday on Hindering Apprehension and Tampering with Evidence.
Ed McIver Jr. was not indicted on the shooting itself.
Both the indictments are both felony charges and carry up to 10 years in prison.
This is the second time prosecutors presented their case to a Grand Jury.
McIver Jr.’s father was killed in the shootout which wounded Officer Matt Pearce.
Officer Pearce is still recovering but has been released from the hospital.
