Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was more seriously injured in Thursday’s pre-season game than he, or anyone else, thought. The Cowboys announced Saturday that an MRI found he has a broken back. The day after he was injured, Romo was telling reporters that he was hit hard in the game, but he thought he was ok. The cowboys say the bone Romo broke this time is not the same bone he broke in 2014. It has not yet been determined how long Romo will be out of action, but Cowboys’ head coach Jason Garret says he expects to have him back in the line-up as the season progresses.
