DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas Police Association is calling on city leaders for a commitment to increase pay for Dallas officers prior to bringing in the next permanent police chief.
DPA President Ron Pinkston says Dallas needs a chief to make the department the best it can be.
“We can’t be the lowest paid department and expect to get the best chief in the country,” said Pinkston. “We need to get the best chief in the country. The best chief available.”
Pinkston says they have already worked with the man who will become the interim chief and look forward to working with him in the future.
