BOSTON (AP) – A hotel shuttle bus has been rear-ended by a car near Boston’s Logan International Airport, killing two Texas residents.
A state police spokesman says 59-year-old Joseph Rodriguez and 47-year-old Sandra Arreola, both of El Paso, were ejected from the bus at around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday on Route 1A in East Boston.
The bus driver and two passengers from El Paso and Tampa, Florida, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The Swampscott man driving the car was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicates the car left the Ted Williams Tunnel and was traveling north when it struck the rear of the bus, which was bound for a hotel.
