RICHARDSON (WBAP/KLIF News) – Between 500 and 600 people are expected to attend the Sons of Confederate Veterans Convention in Richardson this week.
The organization has publicly carried the Confederate flag in parades and is one of the most active in rallies and litigation to prevent the removal of the “Stars and Bars” and monuments.
The convention was planned prior to last week’s killing of police officers in Dallas.
The group will meet Wednesday through Saturday at the Renaissance Hotel.
