HURST (WBAP/KLIF News) – The City of Hurst enacted a ban on texting while driving last week, and now critics are saying it might be an overreach of local control.
The state legislature has debated making texting and driving illegal across Texas, but it hasn’t received the support it needs.
Hurst is the 9th city in North Texas to enact the ban.
Violators could receive a $500 fine.
