Washington, D.C. (WBAP/KLIF) – President Obama has commuted the sentences of 200 federal prison inmates; 5 of them serving time for crimes committed in north Texas. All five were convicted of drug offenses, primarily selling cocaine and methamphetamine. None of the five is considered violent or dangerous. They will not be released immediately. Their sentences will end December 1, but each of them must complete drug treatment, counseling, and educational programs.
