DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A four-alarm fire damaged all of the units in one building at the Landmark at Rosewood Apartments near LBJ Freeway and Central on Monday.
The Red Cross was called to assist residents and first-responders. “One of the first things we do when we get on scene is to make sure everyone has a place to stay,” Anita Foster, the Chief Communications Officer for the American Red Cross North Texas Region. “The Red Cross also sets up hydration stations to make sure plenty of water or sports drinks get into the hands of the fireman, especially in this heat. Once the immediate emergency has passed and we safely have a family off the curb, we then turn our attention to what happens next. We will help residents determine where their next housing will be.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
