IRVING (WBAP/KLIF) – An Irving Police Officer is dead after being involved in a motorcycle crash Friday morning.
Officer Mark Stephen Dahl was on his motorcycle on Valley View Lane at LBJ Freeway when he lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle.
He was on his way to work at the time.
Officer Dahl was taken to Parkland Hospital but did not survive.
Dahl, a former Marine, was a 19 year veteran of the Irving Police Department.
