DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A suspected carjacker who led police on an hour long chase through Dallas on Tuesday night told officers he took a car so he could joy ride and pick up hookers, according to police reports.
Kataria Eddens, 34, is accused of stealing the vehicle from a woman near American Airlines Center. Police tracked the car through the victim’s phone which was left inside.
Eddens was arrested after he crashed the stolen vehicle into a squad car in a residential area off Countess Drive and Royal Lane.
Two officers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Eddens is facing charges of aggravated assault, evading arrest and robbery.
