GRAND PRAIRIE (WBAP/KLIF News) – The body of a man who drowned at Joe Pool Lake over the weekend has been recovered.
Walter Harrison, of Arlington, reportedly jumped off a pontoon boat to cool off in the water and then began struggling. His family tried to help him, but was not able to get to him in time. Harrison was not wearing a life jacket.
The Grand Prairie Fire Department used sonar to locate the body, which was found near the lake’s dam.
It is the second drowning at Joe Pool this year.
