Dallas (WBAP/KLIF News) – 80 days from now, the American people will decide who the next president will be. SMU political scientist Dr. Cal Jillson says now that the conventions and the Olympics are over, the real down and dirty campaigning will get started.
“It looks like the fundraising and the buying of air time for TV ads and all that is ramping up,” said Jillson. “So if you’ve enjoyed it so far, you’re gonna love the rest.”
Jillson says with Donald Trump trailing in national polls by five or more percent, he has a lot of ground to make up. He expects the Hillary Clinton campaign to look pretty much as it has all along, heading into November’s general election.
