DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – About half a dozen credit card skimming devices have been found at several pumps across north Dallas over the past few weeks.
Two were found at the Exxon Station on Hillcrest Road. Another was discovered at an Exxon Station on Campbell Road. Three devices were found in pumps at a 7-11 on Preston Road.
Police said they don’t know how long the devices had been in the pumps. There are only a handful of unique keys that open the pumps, which makes it easier for crooks to get inside if they have one.
The best way to avoid becoming a victim of the scam is to pay for your gas inside the store, according to police.
