DFW AIRPORT (WBAP/KLIF) – DFW Airport will soon see new screening at security checkpoints.
It is a joint initiative between the Transportation Security Administration and American Airlines for major hubs across the country.
The new screening technology, including automated security screen lanes, will come to DFW as well as Chicago O’Hare, Los Angeles and Miami. On top of that, both the airline and TSA plan to deploy CT Technology in a pilot program launching at the end of the year in Phoenix.
The additional automated checkpoints are aimed at reducing the wait times for passengers going through security.
The long-term goal is to use the new systems at all airports in the United States.
